Chris Fischer carries the Explorer's Club Flag

Chris Fischer, member of the Explorer's Club holds the flag once carried by Jacque Cousteau himself. The M.V. Ocearch Crew has carried the flag on 3 expeditions of which will be highlighted in Season 3 of Shark Men premiering Summer 2012.

The Explorers Club is an international multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research and the ideal that it is vital to preserve the instinct to explore. http://www.explorers.org/

Extroardinary Leadership

From left to right: M.V. Ocearch Master, Brett McBride, Expedition Leader, Chris Fischer, Co-Captain Jody Whitworth follow the ranks of other Ocean Explorers with their unprecedented expeditions in remote locations around the world studying the ocean's giants. This includes over 80 sharks, 8 different species: Great Hammerhead, Silky, Tiger, Bull Shark, Silvertip, Galapagos, Great White, Blacktip. as well as 22 Great White Sharks, all successfully tagged and released.

Raising the Flag

Crewmember and underwater cameraman David Olson, raises the flag over the crow's nest, a structure in the upper part of the mainmast of the ship. These expeditions are a culmination of brilliant scientists, expert leadership among the M.V. Ocearch crew and the unique capabilities of the mothership vessel OCEARCH and her fleet.
